Le Pen’s French Presidential Bid May Not Be Over
The Paris court of appeals said it should be able to rule on Marine Le Pen’s legal team’s challenge to her conviction and election ban by the summer of 2026 — much sooner than expected, boosting the far-right leader’s hopes of running for the 2027 French presidency. Le Pen was found guilty of embezzlement on Monday and given an immediate five-year ban on running for office. Bloomberg’s Kriti Gupta reports.
